Introduction
SEO Loop ("we", "us") is a free SEO toolkit built by OpenLoop. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use seoloop.in, why we collect it, and what rights you have over it.
What We Collect
- Account information: name and email address, and a securely hashed password, when you register. We never store your password in plain text.
- Tool usage data: the URLs or domains you submit to our tools (e.g. DNS lookup, SSL checker, Site Audit) so we can run the check and, for logged-in Site Audit reports, save the result to your dashboard.
- Technical data: IP address, browser type, and basic request logs, used to keep the service secure and prevent abuse (e.g. rate-limiting).
- Support tickets: anything you submit through our support ticket system, including attachments, so we can respond to you.
- Cookies: a session cookie to keep you logged in, and (if you accept our cookie banner) basic cookies for site functionality. We do not use third-party advertising trackers.
How We Use It
We use this information only to: operate and improve the tools, save your Site Audit history if you have an account, respond to support requests, and keep the service secure. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
Third-Party Services
Some tools call external services to produce a result — for example Google's Custom Search API, PageSpeed Insights, Safe Browsing, or certificate-transparency lookups (crt.sh). When you run one of these tools, the URL/domain you submit is sent to that service to get a result; we do not send your account details (name/email) to these services. If you choose to use an AI-powered feature with your own API key (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Gemini, DeepSeek, etc.), your key is encrypted at rest and used solely to make requests to that provider on your behalf — see the AI Tools section of our Terms for details.
Data Retention
Account data and saved Site Audit reports are kept for as long as your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time — see "Your Rights" below.
Your Rights
You can access, correct, or request deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting us through our Contact page or by opening a support ticket. We will act on verified requests within a reasonable time.
Security
The site is served entirely over HTTPS, passwords are hashed (never stored in plain text), and any sensitive credentials you provide us (such as a personal AI API key, if you use that feature) are encrypted before being stored.
Children's Privacy
SEO Loop is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected here with an updated date.
